We couldn't have asked for better weather and we couldn't have asked for a better bunch of racers to join us in opening the 2008 Chicago Cyclocross Cup. Results for Sunday's race in Jackson Park are online, and we're pleased to have so much to brag about. Congratulations go to Mike Seguin for winning the 4A race, Brian Parker and Jacques Cartier for placing 3rd and 5th in the 3's, Eileen Neville for placing 3rd in the women's 4's, and, on loan to us from the Webcor Builders professional cycling team, Rebecca Much for getting 2nd in the women's open. Even our friends at Mission Bay got in on the action and performed admirably. The biggest victory of the day, however, may belong to race director Greg Heck for running such a great event, one that attracted more than a hundred riders to the men's 4's races. (And he still found the energy and strength to place 10th in the 3's!) We can't wait for the rest of the season. Check the schedule at Chicago Cyclocross Cup.
