With a 20 year history, xXx Racing is Chicago’s premier development-focused amateur cycling team and we’re glad you’ve found us! Founded by bike messengers in 1999, xXx Racing is a 501c(3) organization that actively promotes bike riding and racing in Chicagoland through its many races, practices, and weekly team ride.

Although we are a racing team, our primary focus is on providing an environment for budding cyclists of all abilities to develop within the sport. Interested in developing riding skills and getting stronger? Our Saturday morning team ride, which has been running continuously for 15+ years, is a great way to start. Thinking about racing? Check out our LaBagh Practice Crits, where we host regular low-pressure practice races to help cyclists acclimate to riding in a pack environment. Do you want to become a part of a large, dynamic, and welcoming group of cyclists of all abilities? Come to a monthly team meeting or check out how to join our team.

Team Ride Departure

7:00 am

All cyclists are welcome on our Saturday morning team rides, but please first read about our route and expectations.

In the fall of 2019, while very distraught over my pending divorce, I attended the annual World Bicycle Relief fundraiser gala with good friends from my cycling team. After (maybe) a little too much wine, I bid on a trip to join WBR for a 10 day trip to help with their amazing charitable mission in rural Zambia. The trip was supposed to happen in June of 2020, but got pushed back a year, then another. It's finally happening next week and I.cannot.wait! After 10 days in Zambia I'm taking time for myself to spend 12 days visiting other parts of Zambia, as well as Zimbabwe, and Botswana, to see the sights and go on some safaris. LOTS of pictures coming starting sometime next week. While the Inner-City Education Program remains my #1 priority for fundraising, if you're interested in information about WBR, please click below to learn about the, "Power of Bicycles," and consider making a donation. Each bike costs just $165 and I'd like to raise enough to cover at least 10 bikes!

Day #1 of Gateway Cup Tour of Lafayette- I was Expecting A perfect little Square around a Park All Flat. Yeah No :) 4 Corner Crit with a Long False Flat, you would go Zoomiez Turn 1,3 and 4, going out of turn 1 into the Long False Flat was bad for me i lost pace real fast after the Second Lap, Going up the False flat i had to use a lot of my Power to just Not get stuck on it, going onto Turn #2 I was trying to bring myself Back up to a Good Pace the whole Back Stretch of turn 2 and 3 was a Very low hill not too hard, turn 3 i would get my momentum going getting the pace good and steady Controlling Breathing and Heart Rate to Zoom up the False Flat snagging a spot on the Podium on Day 1.
