Ride with our teammate and 2-time World Champion, Greta Neimanas

Updated on October 18, 2019: ATTENTION, teammates and team friends! Our teammate and multi-time World Champion and Olympian, Greta Neimanas, will be riding our Team Ride tomorrow, Saturday, October 19th, and we would love for you all to join us. As usual, all riders are welcome. The team ride leaves at 8am (remember, we've switched to our winter hours) from Wicker Park with a stop at Pratt Boulevard and Ridge Boulevard in Rogers Park at 8:30am. Greta Neimanas is a two-time World Champion (2015 Scratch Race, 2013 Time Trial), a two-time Paralympian (2008 & 2012), 16-time World Championship medalist, 12-time Paracycling National Champion, a former rider for TWENTY16 Pro Cycling and the U.S. Paralympic National Team (2006-2016), and a lifetime member of xXx Racing-Athletico. Greta started with xXx Racing as a juniors racer in 2005 and raced with the team for five years before joining a pro team (Peanut Butter and Co., Twenty 12, now called TWENTY20 Pro Cycling). Greta made the World Team in 2006 and lived/trained at the U.S. Olympic/Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for six years, winning numerous medals at various championships between 2006 and 2015. Greta won the Time Trial World Championship in 2013, and in 2015 she won the Scratch Race World Championship by gaining a lap on the field.

Greta is an advocate for clean sport and serves on the WADA Athlete Committee and USOC Athlete Advisory Committee. Greta is the head coach for the U.S. Navy’s Wounded Warrior-Safe Harbor cycling program - a program which serves as a rehabilitative sports program for injured and ill sailors, and she also coaches at U.S Paralympic development camps. Greta was recently named as a coach for Team US at the 2020 Invictus Games hosted in The Hague, The Netherlands.
